Access to weather observations and climate data from around the world - and your own locations.
The relationship between weather and the demand for energy is an important one. On-going analysis of this relationship in ever-changing markets requires an on-going supply of quality observational data.
As the commercial subsidiary of the Meteorological Service of New Zealand we have access to weather observation and climate data from around the world, in the form of ground-based measurements, satellite and radar images, and lightning proximity and strike information.
If there are no meteorological observations currently available at the site where they are required, customers may install an solar powered Automatic Weather Station (AWS) with cellular network connectivity. Subject to jurisdictions and approvals, an AWS can be installed in any location, anywhere in the world to provide weather data and pin-point accuracy.
