Malaysian environmental services company, Enviro Exceltech (EET), joins with partner MetraWeather Asia, to demonstrate offshore marine weather, metocean engineering and decision-support tools at Oil & Gas Asia (OGA) 2017.
OGA is South East Asia’s biggest and best petroleum industry exhibition. It takes place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 11-13 July 2017.
Weather has been a factor in 7 of the world’s 10 worst offshore disasters. In December 2015, 32 lives were sadly lost in the Caspian Sea after a severe weather event struck an offshore platform.
For companies operating offshore in Malaysia and Sarawak, tropical cyclonic systems and lightning can present significant marine engineering and health & safety and environment challenges.
EET and MetraWeather will demonstrate the MetOceanView (MOV) online marine weather dashboard at OGA 2017.
MOV presents highly-accurate, real-time, site-specific weather, wind and wave data to help Malaysian offshore operators mitigate the impacts of severe weather.
New features in MOV being announced at OGA 2017 include a new interface, user-defined dashboard configurations, the high-resolution WaveWatch III (WWIII) wave model, and automated report building and scheduling.
OGA 2017 EET MetraWeather Competition
Delegates at OGA 2017 will have an opportunity to win what is regarded as the ‘world’s best travel jacket’ courtesy of EET and MetraWeather. The BauBax is a modern, travel-friendly bomber jacket that features a built-in inflatable pillow and eye mask; dedicated tablet, smartphone, passport and sunglass pockets; built-in gloves; a microfibre cleaning cloth and many other unique features for the offshore executive.
EET and MetraWeather are exhibiting on Booth 8002 at OGA 2017.
