This was achieved through the use of innovative weather driven analytics techniques. Similar innovative techniques have been used to develop improved line rating solutions, both dynamic and static.

    A partnership with New Zealand’s National Weather Service Provider, MetService, and its wholly owned subsidiary MetraWeather Australia, has been established to combine local weather expertise with Digital Engineering’s proven solutions.

    TESLA was founded in the 1990s, with the first demand model developed for The London Electricity Board. Short Range Load forecasting from the TESLA Model is now used by hundreds of clients around the world to inform energy demand for the next 14+ days, which is predominantly driven by weather conditions across larger population centres.

    MetrtaWeather’s high accuracy forecasts are now available as a key input into TESLA’s demand forecasting model.

    The Berth Alert solution highlights risks to ships from strong winds, long period waves and large waves. MetraWeather’s longstanding partnership with OMC involves the provision of high accuracy wind and wave forecasts into these crucial DUKC and Berth Alert solutions.
